StudentWill I be eligible?

Tū Kahika will focus on Māori students who are academically capable of undertaking a challenging health sciences professional degree course.
You will have studied some or all of the following subjects at school: biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics but may benefit from a transition year to polish your academic skills in preparation for tertiary study.  Or, you may have narrowly missed the required University entrance grades, or may not have taken all the subjects listed above.

Entering Tū Kahika implies a level of responsibility and commitment to personal and iwi development.  You will be required to demonstrate an intention to contribute to the health professions in this country, in particular to the future health and well-being of Māori.

You may come to the programme directly from school, or have left school in the last year or two.  A range of criteria for eligibility, based on your experiences and background, will apply.

See the Application Process for information on how to apply.
