What are the benefits?
If successful with your application for this programme:
| • Your Foundation Year tuition fees will be paid in full. |
| • You will receive guaranteed accommodation in a University of Otago Residential College in either Studholme or Arana. |
| • A $4,000 contribution towards your accommodation costs will be paid on your behalf. |
| • You will receive ongoing academic and pastoral support (before you even arrive in Otago) and will be guided through your studies alongside other Tū Kahika and Foundation Year Health Sciences students. |
| • You will develop an understanding of the core Science, Maths and English subjects to assist you with further tertiary health science education. |
| • You will be provided with the skills and knowledge necessary to study with greater confidence at university. |
The curriculum has been carefully planned by the academic staff at Foundation Year and moderated by relevant academic staff from the University of Otago, including Health Sciences First Year paper coordinators. The lecturers and tutors you will meet aim to ensure not only your academic success but also that you will leave the Foundation Year programme with the confidence to achieve your highest potential.
